NORTH EAST UNDERDOG TOURNAMENT
OFFICIAL RULE BOOK:
Organized by War Drum Esports:
1. Introduction
Welcome to the North East Underdog Tournament, a premier Moba Legends 5v5 competition dedicated to showcasing the best teams from Northeast India. This tournament aims to foster esports growth in the region and provide a competitive platform for skilled players to prove themselves.
This document serves as the official rulebook, outlining all rules, regulations, and procedures governing the tournament. All teams, players, and staff are required to familiarize themselves with these rules to ensure a fair, professional, and competitive experience.
2. Tournament Format
The tournament is divided into two brackets:
1. Top Dogs (16 Teams)
2. Underdogs (32 Teams)
Top Dogs Bracket

Round 1 (Bo3 Knockout): 16 teams face off; winners advance, losers are eliminated.

Round Robin Stage (Bo1): Top 8 teams play against each other. The top 4 teams based on points qualify for semi-finals.

Semi-Finals (Bo3):

Rank 1 vs. Rank 3

Rank 2 vs. Rank 4

Finals (Bo5): The winner is crowned Top Dogs Champion.
Underdogs Bracket

Group Stage (Bo1 Round Robin): 32 teams are divided into 8 groups of 4. The top 2 teams from each group advance.

Top 16 Knockout (Bo3): Knockout rounds begin, continuing as Bo3 until the semi-finals.

Finals (Bo5): The winner is crowned Underdogs Champion.
Grand Finals (Bo7)
The Top Dogs Champion and Underdogs Champion will play a Bo7 Grand Final to determine the overall tournament winner.
3. Team & Player Requirements
3.1 Team Composition

Each team must consist of 5 main players + 2 substitute (coach is optional).

Coaches are not allowed to play in matches.

Teams must be from Northeast India.

Disputes over team origin will be resolved by War Drum Esports.
3.2 Player Eligibility

Players must register with their real names and in-game IDs.

Players must use their registered ID in all matches. Violations will result in penalties or disqualification.
3.3 Single-Team Participation

Players cannot play for multiple teams. Any player found in multiple teams will be disqualified, and both teams will face penalties.
3.4 Team Identity

Team names and logos must be free of offensive, racist, vulgar, or political content.

War Drum Esports reserves the right to reject any team name or logo that violates these rules.
4. Match Rules
4.1 Hero Restrictions

Newly released heroes are banned for the current stage.

The tournament administration may ban heroes based on game balance changes.
4.2 Drafting & Game Restarts

No game restarts due to internet disconnections or incorrect hero picks.

Accidental spell/emblem selection will not result in a rematch.

Game bugs must be reported with a screen recording to the referee.
4.3 Pauses

Each team gets one 3-minute pause per match.

Pauses are not allowed during fights at Turtle/Lord.

Teams must provide a valid reason for pausing to the referee.
5. Scheduling & Punctuality

Teams must check in 15 minutes before the scheduled match time.

Late Penalties:

Bo1 Matches: 10 minutes late = Disqualification.

Bo3, Bo5, Bo7 Matches:

5 minutes late = 1 game forfeited.

10 minutes late = Series forfeited.
6. Tie-breaker Rules

If teams have the same points in the round robin stage, ranking will be decided in this order:

Head-to-Head Record (Who won when they played against each other).

Game Difference (Games won – Games lost).

Bo1 Tiebreaker Match.
7. Points System (Round Robin Stages)
Bo1 Matches:

Win: 1 point

Loss: 0 points
Bo3 Matches (Top Dogs League Stage):

Win 2-0: 3 points

Win 2-1: 2 points

Lose 1-2: 1 point

Lose 0-2: 0 points
8. Streaming & Content Rights

Only approved streamers may restream (request via admin@wardrumgames.in).

Clippers must tag War Drum Esports on social media or face a copyright claim.
9. Prize Pool Distribution

Winner: ₹50,000

Runner-up: ₹10,000
10. Penalties & Violations
10.1 Cheating & Unfair Play

Cheating, hacking, and piloting will result in immediate disqualification and a permanent ban.

Match-fixing and intentional loss will lead to team disqualification.
10.2 Player Conduct

Toxicity, racism, and harassment will not be tolerated.

Players must behave professionally at all times.

Final decisions rest with the Event Manager & Head Referee.
11. Match Rescheduling

Requests for rescheduling must be made before the match schedule is posted.

Rescheduling will only be granted for valid reasons at the discretion of the Head Referee.
12. In-Game Conduct & Fair Play

No ghosting, piloting, or third-party assistance.

No external software, macros, or hacks allowed.

All players must screen share in Discord throughout the draft phase and match.

Coaches are allowed only during the draft.
13. Acceptance of Rules
By entering this tournament, all players agree to abide by these rules. Failure to comply will result in penalties or disqualification.
14. Rule Amendments
War Drum Esports reserves the right to amend or update these rules as necessary. Any changes will be communicated via official tournament channels.
